What brought me and Jeanne to Williams: There was an opportunity for employment on the Grand Canyon Railway and fortunately, we were both hired. I started on the Polar Express and before Jeanne was hired, she worked at Bearizona.
How did I get into ministry: It was soon after I rededicated my life to the Lord at the Billy Graham, Dallas TX, Crusade in 1971. After the crusade, I went to Bible College in Dunedin, Fl where I graduated in 1976. I started in ministry as a youth pastor in Salt Lake City, UT
I feel God has used me in the ministry at Calvary Chapel Williams as a Deacon who is supportive of his pastor and in bringing visionary ideas to the leadership of our church.
Attributes: A listening ear, spiritual gift of encouragement, team player and follow through of assignments.
I retired as an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Santa Maria in 2015 and decided to leave CA to a more quiet and peaceful area. I was saved in 1989 after being prayed for, for seven years. It was another three years before I started attending church on a regular basis. In 1992, I went on a Men's retreat, which changed my life. When I got back, I asked my pastor how I can serve. He introduced me to serving as an usher and about a year later, I became a Deacon. In 1995, I started Timothy's Pastorals program, which lasted 2 years. During that time, I became an Elder and served as such for 3 years. I went on staff at CCSM in 1999 and was ordained in March of 2000 as Pastor. I also became a certified Biblical Counselor and served as children's ministry pastor for 16 years. I also taught Sunday evening Bible study.
Clay and his wife, Dede, moved to Williams because it was the perfect place for retirement. Clay got into ministry when he started a small group ministry with the men from his past church out of Whittier, CA. They helped each other with personal problems and praised God together. They "escaped" California in 1988. Clay believes he will be able to add a calming strength to an already impressive board. He has worked on many of the building projects here at this church.
Ron was a teacher and wrestling coach for many years in Tucson, AZ. When he left that job, he relocated here in Williams, where he built his own home. He has worked on many projects here at the church. Ron has been the main person on all of the building projects at the church.
Rick and his wife, Ann, moved to Williams from New Mexico a few years ago. They became very active here at the church.
Jerry has a prayer ministry every Sunday on Route 66 and 9th St. He will pray with anyone that will stop by.

Hello, We are not doing a Christmas eve or Christmas day service. Our local Methodist church is doing a Christmas eve service at 6pm. They are located on the corner of 2nd Street and Sherman Ave here in Williams. I do not know who or if a church is doing a Christmas day service. We do hope that you will be able to visit us on Sunday, Dec 29th at our 9am or 10:45am service. Merry Christmas! Blessings, Dede
